How can I access my Conto Widiba?

You can open Conto Widiba from www.widiba.it, by clicking on OPEN ACCOUNT. It only takes five minutes and is completely paperless.

What costs and charges will I incur with a Widiba current account?

The monthly fee of the Start Package is 3 Euro, charged quarterly, and can be set to zero. Reductions will be calculated and applied on the last day of the quarter. The debit card is already included in your current account. To learn how to set the fee to zero, see the cost table in the Current Account section, or the Info Factsheets in the Transparency section of our website.

What documents are required and how can I send them?

To open a Widiba Account, just keep a valid identity document, tax code or national health card at hand, along with a blank sheet of paper with your signature. If you choose to complete the recognition process in a branch of the MPS Group, you can email the documents to documenti@widiba.it.

How do I open an account?

What is a Remote Digital Signature?

A digital signature is the IT equivalent of a traditional handwritten signature on paper: it guarantees the identity of the signer; it guarantees that the document has not been altered after it was signed; it grants full legal validity to the signed document.

Digital signatures are issued by an authorized third party, known as the Certification Authority (or “CA”), which, in the case of Banca Widiba, is Infocert.

What is the purpose of having a Remote Digital Signature in Banca Widiba?

To sign your documents from the comfort of your own home, validly and in total safety.

Through the use of a RDS, you can sign contracts and, more generally, take on commitments and make declarations solely within the context of your relations with the Bank or by means of same.

You can use it to sign new contracts (e.g. to request new products), and to amend or integrate contracts relating to products that are already active.

With a digital signature, you can open your account faster, without having to wait to receive the paper contract.
What’s more, you can save paper and ink.

What are the features of the Banca Widiba RDS?

The RDS released by InfoCert, in collaboration with Banca Widiba, can only be used on the Widiba website, and therefore is a known as a ”closed digital signature". The service is free of charge for as long as you are a Widiba client.

What is a PEC Certified Electronic Mailbox?

A certified email is the equivalent of a registered letter with return receipt, which grants email communications legal validity. The service is free of charge for as long as you are a Banca Widiba client.

Why do I need a Certified Electronic Mailbox in Banca Widiba?

Certified mailboxes make it possible to finalize contracts faster and more securely, starting with the one relating to your Widiba Account. Having the same legal value as a registered letter, a certified email communication makes it possible to reduce the times required to share, forward and manage any type of document between you and the Bank.

Certified mailboxes can also be used for purposes not directly linked with your relationship with the bank (e.g. to send/receive documents to/from third parties, etc.).

Can I change the PEC address assigned to me by Banca Widiba while opening my account?

Yes, after you have opened your account, you can replace the address assigned by Banca Widiba with your own personal PEC already in use.

Can I register my wife or another family member as co-holders of my current account?

You can open a bank account in the name of up to at most three people. The account holders will just have to follow the simple instructions found on the website.

How can I access my Conto Widiba?

You can access your bank account from your PC, tablet, smartphone, Apple Watch and Apple TV, with your traditional username and password or your touch ID/faceID for devices that support this technology.

You can download the Widiba app for smartphones or the My Money app for tablets, and keep your bank account details close at hand, wherever you are!

Can I transfer my old current account to Banca Widiba?

Yes, with WidiExpress you can close your old bank account and transfer to Banca Widiba the connected payment services (standing orders, direct debits, recurring incoming bank transfers), salary or pension, mortgage, investments. The service is handy and free of charge: just fill in the online application form and sign it digitally. Within 12 working days of receipt, complete with all the necessary information and documents, Banca Widiba will transfer the payment services. The old account will be closed on the effective date indicated on the form if there are no impediments not attributable to Banca Widiba or ongoing obligations, such pending expenses made with a credit card or the presence of securities in the securities portfolio.

What can I transfer with WidiExpress?

With WidiExpress, you can close the old bank account and transfer all associated services, or transfer individual services such as direct debits, incoming and outgoing transfers, salary or pension, securities portfolios and investments.

When I make transfer my current account, what should I do about my cards and cheques?

You'll have to make them unusable, for example by cutting them up. If you cannot find them or have problems retrieving the data of your old cards or cheques, calls the Widiba team at the Toll Free Number 800 22 55 77.

When transferring my current account, how can I transfer my salary?

Simply select Close old account and transfer all services. Banca Widiba will redirect your salary to your Widiba Account, along with all other incoming payments to your old account for the next 12 months. We recommend you check that your employer has your new IBAN.

When transferring my current account, can I also transfer my mortgage?

Yes, simply select Close old account and transfer all services, and Banca Widiba will do the rest. Your mortgage instalments will be automatically charged to your new Widiba Account.

I wish to transfer only some of the standing orders and/or direct debits on my old account. Must I fill out the online form?

No, to transfer only certain services, go to the Transparency section and download the Transfer of Payment Services Form in the Accounts and Ancillary Services section. Fill it in, sign it and send it with your certified email to richieste@widipec.it.

What should I do after submitting the transfer request?

Keep an eye on your mailbox, you will receive a confirmation email.

Is it possible to transfer a deposit account?

No. Your old bank must first release the deposit’s liquidity, crediting the amounts to the old current account, and then you can transfer the total balance to your Widiba Account through WidiExpress.

Which account packages are available?

You can choose from the following account packages, according to your needs:
- the START Package with main services included in the monthly fee of €3 (free if you are under 30), for your daily needs;
- the PRO Package if you are looking for a more advanced solution. In the monthly fee of €8 (you can receive discounts based on your assets), you have the option of requesting a free credit card. This is also the right package if you need to carry out operations at a branch office.
The fee will be charged quarterly to the your checking account. Read the information sheet of the Widiba account in the transparency section, to find out about its conditions and discounts.
